Judy is a lecturer in music history at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.  A recovering lawyer, she received her PhD at the University of Manchester in 2005.  Interests include the music of Shostakovich and other Soviet composers, music analysis, (especially sonata theory and dialogues between form and culture), music and the cold war, twentieth-century music in general, chamber music in general, .etc., etc.
