About

Wes Anderson received his BS in Philosophy from Portland State University in 2009.  He expects to receive his MA in Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee in 2011.  From there he hopes to receive his PhD in History and Philosophy of Science or Philosophy.

His research interests revolve around the history and philosophy of cognitive science and especially the analysis of (1) theoretical concepts such as information, computation, and representation; and (2) the epistemological underpinnings of explanations and methodologies in research on vision and cognition.  Roughly, the broad research project concerns the analysis of the aforementioned theoretical concepts through the analysis of the epistemology of research on vision and cognition.  Papers on these topics and more will be posted on his home page.
